EPZ Risalpur comprising 200 acres, (100 acres in phase 1 fully developed) has direct access to the central Asian markets. EPZA Pakistan is one of the founder members of WEPZA (World Economic Processing Zones Association). The zone is located at a distance of about 50 kilometers from Peshawar near Mardan interchange on Islamabad-Peshawar motorway section. The area has the potential of trading and warehousing business, mineral, fruits & vegetable processing, carpet and furniture industry due to availability of respective raw material and cheap skilled labor. Development work fully completed. Out of 100 acres fully developed (phase one) about 30% plots already booked. 35 project proposals worth capital investment of US $ 16 million already approved by EPZA.

  • INFRASTRUCTURE: Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA) is a Pakistan Government venture, which was formed with a vision to enhance and improve the exports of the country. Basically EPZA has a state of the art infrastructure, based not only on the work efficiency but also the healthy environment in every aspect. It has a peaceful, secure and environmentally protected pollution free work area. All its zones are in the major cities of Pakistan so as to minimize any inconvenience of any sort. This is what EPZA facilitate in its infrastructure so as to boost industrialization and augment country’s export.

Developed land on competitive rates for 30 years
Duty-free import of machinery, equipment and materials
Freedom from national import regulations
Exchange control regulations of Pakistan not applicable
Repatriation of capital and profits
No sales tax on input goods including electricity/gas bills
Duty-free vehicles allowed under certain conditions
Domestic market available to the extent of 20%. Exceptions may be available
Presumptive tax @ 1%
Only EPZA is authorized to collect Presumptive Tax at the thime of export of goods which would be final tax liability
Obsolete/old machiner can be sold in domestic market of Pakistan after payment of applicable duties & taxes
Defective goods/waste can be sold in domestic market after payment of applicable duties, maximum upto 3% of total value
EPZ units allowed to supply goods to Custom manufacturing bonds
