PESHAWAR – The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday declared emergency in the province due to torrential rains and floods, which have claimed over 204 lives in addition to 26 deaths in other parts of the country. The KP government has also released Rs 100 million to cope with the situation in the province.

Gas supply pipelines washed away

PESHAWAR: The gas supply to Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate in Swabi district and southern districts including Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat and Tank was cut off late Thursday as the 16 and 8 inches diameter pipelines were washed away by floodwater at Jehangira on the Grand Trunk Road. 4 police stations named after martyred policemen

Cabinet meeting postponed; one day national mourning
