Many new picnic spots are been opened and new plans are made to introduce adventurous entertainment to travelers.

A new tourist spot set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is garnering attention from all over the place. In the Cherat hill station of the province, Sky Bridge company launched a new exciting and adventurous Zipline which is claimed to be South Asia’s longest zip line.

According to the officials; Muhammad Islam Khan Assistant Director (INF) to Chief Secretary KP, on his Twitter account @Kamunicationist, said, “Sky Bridge Zipline is South Asia’s Longest Zipline, located at the ridge line of Khattak Range overlooking the wild forest of Cherat, picturesque view of Mir Kalan, Maruba, Ameeru, Garu, Nizampur villages of Khwarra valley to the east and a glimpse of Saleh Khana – Jallozai to the west. It’s the longest zip line in south Asia.”

Furthermore, the longest zip line is 1.6 km long and unique in its design. In addition to this, the Assistant Director also stated that “Being two sided zip line as the rider comes back to its first position after the second hop. Max Speed 75-80 kms/hr. Height 600 feet”.

Its total length is 1.6 km, with 0.8 km each way. This zip line runs 300 meters above the Khwarra valley of Nowshera below. The zip line people allow kids as old as 5 years to ride the line too. From the jump-off point, you can see all of Attock towards East and Peshawar Westwards.

If you can’t get yourself to do skydiving, which is anyways not available in Pakistan, this zip line is a must-do for all adventure junkies. South Asia’s longest zip line can be found easily through Google Maps by searching Cherat Forest Nowshera.

Cherat is a hill station located in district Nowshera, near Pabbi town. From Islamabad, there are two ways to reach district Nowshera. It takes around 2 hours to reach Nowshera and 1 hour from Nowshera to Cherat via Pabbi town. Islamabad to Cherat is a 3 hours’ drive

The total duration of the zip line will be around 2 minutes and 40 seconds and you will cover 1.6km with a speed of 75-80 km/h.
